SHE SAID YES
In fall of '88, Leslie and Steven were both freshmen at Hobart & William Smith Colleges. Little did they know that 36 years later, they would be married! In fact, they were only acquaintances during college, but had many friends in common. Leslie remembers seeing Steven zipping around campus in his red jeep with no doors. Steve remembers always seeing Leslie at the 'Holiday' bar out on the dance floor. Ironically, both were English majors, but never had ONE class together!?! After graduation, Steven moved out to Jackson Hole, Wyoming to hone in on his skiing during the day, while bartending downtown at night. He eventually settled down in Denver, Colorado and graduated MBA from The Daniels College of Business before embarking on his career in Finance. Leslie on the other hand, lived in New York City for over 20 years. There she was a television producer traveling the world, while working on everything from The Today Show to Martha Stewart, and then later moved to Chicago for a few years to work with Oprah.
In 2015, Leslie got a message from Steve on Facebook and they started
talking regularly online.
A year later, they met on Nantucket Island having not seen each other for over 25 years. Needless to say, the rest is history… Each year, their love for each other grew stronger and stronger, until Steve proposed on Christmas Day.
Steve and Leslie will be married on September 21st at the First Congregational Church on Nantucket and then celebrate with their friends and family in the backyard of their home.
We are thrilled that everyone can share in this beautiful union together.
